Associate Professor
Welcome to my website! I am currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computing and Information System at Daffodil International University (DIU), Dhaka, Bangladesh. I also served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Software Engineering at DIU as well. Prior to this, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Kim Jaechul Graduate School of Artificial Intelligence at KAIST in the Republic of Korea. I held various engineering positions as well at Dhaka Power Distribution Company Limited (DPDC), one of the largest power distribution companies in Bangladesh, serving approximately approximately two million customers within its distribution territory.
I obtained my Ph.D. degree in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the College of Informatics, Korea University, Seoul, South Korea. I earned my BS and MS from International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC) and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), respectively.
My primary areas of interest in research include the applications of machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) techniques, with an emphasis on the broader context of AI solutions for real-world challenges, such as advancing the frontiers of computer vision applications, LLM reasoning, small language models, and agentic AI to develop intelligent, efficient, and autonomous AI systems for real-world impact. Throughout my Ph.D. and subsequent postdoctoral research period, I have dedicated myself to leveraging ML/DL techniques and have contributed to several published research articles in top-tier AI conferences/journals. Motivated by an unyielding enthusiasm for conducting cutting-edge research using ML/DL techniques, I am excited and eager to further contributions through collaboration with a distinguished team that shares similar research interests and expertise.
